By: zombezoo - 2008-06-27 19:25:23 I received a Willem Pro 4 ISP for Christmas for reprogramming EProms for my car. I have tried over the last few months to successfully program a blank M87C257 chip purchased from Mouser. I have several along with a UV Eraser and have had limited luck reading the EPROM’s and no luck burning them. I have tried setting the programmer according to the diagram in the willem software and I get unreliable reads from blank chips and if I try to write anything the software immediately errors out. I have the programmer connected to a laptop and I’m using an external 13.5V DC power supply.
